The off-season is often a tough time for drivers who are patiently waiting and ready to embark on a new step in their career. Josh Reeves is one of those drivers but he will get a taste of what to expect for the season in a testing session this weekend.
Reeves will be seated in a Carter 2 Motorsports ride for an ARCA Racing Series test scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Dec. 19 and 20 (rain date set for Sunday, Dec. 21) at Daytona International Speedway.
This will be Reeves’ second consecutive year testing for the organization. He is one of 14 drivers testing for Carter 2 Motorsports.
Reeves, who was named a Carter 2 Motorsports Development Program Driver for 2015, is anxious to see how the car will shake out on the superspeedway.
“I’ve been looking forward to this opportunity,” Reeves stated. “This will be a regular testing session to see how the ARCA cars have changed and to gather the information we need to be competitive in the race in February.”
That race in February will kick off the 20-race season that will begin Feb. 14 at Daytona International Speedway and wrap up on Oct. 16 at Kansas Speedway.
Reeves has one ARCA Racing Series start which came at Salem Speedway in Indiana on Sept. 13, 2014. He finished 23rd, but impressed those with a watchful eye as he handled the No. 40 FRYESTRONG/Texas Sales Dodge on the short track.
Reeves hopes to keep those eyes on him as he takes to DIS this weekend.
