NEWS AND UPDATES:
Zane Ferrell: Small Track Driver, Big Time Skills
Peter Todich
CPRM
Canton, Oh
Small town, under the lights, Saturday night Short track driver Zane Ferrell grew up around the race track. Racing is in his blood and under his skin. From the time he could start walking, He has been in, around and under racing, and now he drives on the weekends. Ferrell is a Championship winning driver, and just won the 2016 Modified series Championship at Jennerstown track, in West/Central PA. I recently had a chance to interview Zane:
CPRM: How old were you, when you started racing full time?
ZF: I was 7 years old, I started racing go karts on dirt.
CPRM: Who influenced you to start racing?
ZF: family wanted me to try it and the rest is history! Lol
CPRM: Does racing run in your family?
ZF: My grandfather, Bill Geary used to race in the early 70's and my dad ran karts for a little bit.
CPRM: Growing up, who in NASCAR did you look up to and want to be like?
ZF: Bobby Labonte, Mark Martin.
CPRM: Is there a driver that you have tried to model your style after, behind the wheel? Or have you just perfected your own way?
ZF: I found my own way. I also took advice from some friends and it's helped me along the way. Everybody has their own driving style.
CPRM: How far are you looking to go in your racing career?
ZF: I would love to drive a late model. I'm happy where I'm at now in the modified, I need to find sponsorship to go bigger.
CPRM: Past or Present (dead or alive), if you could have lunch with one NASCAR driver, who would it be?
ZF: Alan Kulwicki. Hands down. He was an under funded small time team and took down a lot of big names in his championship season in 1992.
CPRM: How important of a role does your family, play into your racing career?
ZF: They play a huge role in my career. My mother and father gave me the opportunity to race and still like to help out today too.
CPRM: Who is your biggest supporter?
ZF: My sister Zoie and girlfriend Lacey are the biggest supporters too. They love to come every week regardless of what their friends are doing.
CPRM: Are you nervous before a race?
ZF: Not really, once the green flag drops I go all out.
CPRM: Do you have any pre-race rituals you do at the track, or even that day?
ZF: I've never had an pre-race rituals LOL. But I usually eat like a pig before a race.
I asked Zane to give me a brief "Who are you" statement:
I'm Zane Ferrell, I'm 24 years old, I race modifieds at Jennerstown Speedway in Jennerstown, PA. I've been in the class for a year and I really enjoy racing in the mods. I'm a machinist at L&S machine company, I make parts for nuclear reactors for Westinghouse. Outside of racing I enjoy golfing and bowling. I'm a gamer big time too. I also enjoy watching NASCAR races with my friends and also attending races.

Championship PR & Marketing may be looking to expand in 2015
What is on the horizons at CPR&M? It could mix two worlds into one and bring a whole new audiance to the scene. What goes better with Racing, than Country music! We at CPR&M may be combining the two in the coming year by signing on rising Country Music artist from Nashville. We are currently in talks with this new artist who has plans on doing about 25 shows in 2015 at various racing events across the Country.
CPR&M is more than just about racing, if you noticed by our Facebook page. We try and cover a wide range of sports, and to expand in the music scene would be a thrill for us. We hope to come to some type of an agreement with in the next couple months and can have some good news for our fans!
Check back to our site weekly for more news and updates about drivers and the CPR&M gang!!

Season opener has Thrills and Chills!!
2014 Racing opens at Franklin County Speedway
Callaway, VA
It has been a long off season and many drivers have used that time to make changes to cars and prepare for the new 2014 Season. There was equipment and body changes. Some changed sponsors and crew even, but of all the off season work that was done, none worked harder than Chad Ricker. Not because he had a bad season, but because he wanted the success to continue.
Chad Ricker had the target on his back as soon as he arrived to the track Sunday. Everyone was trying to up their game, as they chased Chad, the 2013 UCAR Series Champion, but the work Ricker was trying to accomplish, was getting that one thing that eluded him the entire 2013 season, a Win.
Being the most consistent was not going to be good enough this season though, for Ricker. And on Sunday, he changed all that when he pulled that WiredLinks Chevy into Victory Lane in the Racing Dynamiks 200. Although he didnt get the starting spot he wanted, he fought the entire race from P8 to take the lead with only 4 laps to go. The points from Sunday look like this:
U-CAR
1. #31 Chad Ricker 50
2. #51 WJ Altizer 49
3. #25 Charles Smith 48
4. #29 Timothy Wheat 47
5. #1 Jessica Cockram 46
6. #22 Kevin Boose 45
7. #83 Isaac Lavender 44
8. #7 Jeremy Dailey 43
9. #8 Cary Thomason 42
10. #19 JD Underwood 41
This is shaping up to be a great year for Chad Ricker Motorsports, and we will be watching him win many more this year. The next race will be April 27th – The Industrial Floor Systems Spring Sizzler. If you are in the area be sure to check out a race. You can also follow Franklin County Speedway on Facebook, where they have occasional ticket giveaways.

Daytona ARCA test
Josh Reeves takes his talent to the track, and has a good showing.
Three months ago, Reeves was sitting in his class at school,
dreaming of driving at Daytona in December. The ARCA series
had scheduled their annual test for the weekend of December
20-22. Then, he got the message that would soon change his future,
and give him the opportunity of a lifetime. A team that Josh has
worked with before, had contacted him about seat time again. Only this
time it was for the Daytona test. Of course he would say yes,
and so began his journey to Daytona International Speedway.
As it is with many underfunded drivers in the sport, money would
be a key issue, but it would not deter Reeves and his plight to checking off another goal. After taking a couple months to
seriously consider the idea, and having countless phone calls with his Marketing firm, Josh decided it was for the better to do the
test. This left him with only one month to raise the funds, and secure the money needed to make the trip. He started reaching out
to potential investors, and soon would gather enough sponsorship to claim his seat time in a car.
The weekend of December 20 fast approached and Josh was on his way South, towards warmer weather and a weekend of testing.
Friday would be his time to shine, and it had finally gotten here. Reeves climbed into the #40 Carter 2 Motorsports Dodge and hit
the track. "We unloaded a bad fast car, and it took no time at all for me to feel comfortable in the seat" Reeves said Friday night in
a phone interview. He continued "It only took me two laps to settle in, and then I just laid on the throttle". Josh would soon find
himself making good time on the leaderboard, and passing cars. In a field of 56 cars for that day, Josh would finish 20th in the speed
charts, ahead of some top name ARCA regulars.
Sights focused on February ARCA Series race at Daytona.
Now the focus has been placed on the February season opening race, for the ARCA Series, in Daytona. Funding is the major road
block at the moment. But, don't think for one minute that Reeves is just sitting idle, and waiting for the future Partner to approach
him. He has a team of supporters working with him, and they have already begun the countless hours of reaching out to potential
Marketing Partners. Going into the test this past weekend, Reeves was only approved for testing, but after his showing, he has now
been fully approved to run the Daytona ARCA race in February, and that is a major step in his career. He can use this as leverage as
he sells himself to future potential sponsors, and it may just be the deal sealer in wrapping up the needed funding.
"The full season sponsor will come to us, but right now I am just focused on getting the needed Marketing Partner for Daytona"
Josh told us late Sunday night. You can tell, just from talking to him that he is riding on cloud 9 right now. He seems more focused
and determined than ever. A lot of hard work has been put into his career up to this point, over that last three years, and this past
weekends test, has just gotten him closer to living out his life long dream.

*OFFICIAL RACING ANNOUNCEMENT*
Daytona: Where Champions are Born
When NASCAR starts its season, every year, it starts where the sport was established. Most people would call Charlotte NC the birthplace of NASCAR. But, racing on the beaches of Daytona will forever be remembered as the foundation racing was laid upon. Each year, teams travel to the sacred, hallowed grounds of Daytona International Speedway, to test for the next season. The 2.5 mile, high banked Super Speedway, is a notch that every team wishes to anchor in their career. While not every driver is successful at winning there, every team does their best to get every corner and lap down to a science and be ready come February.
This year is no different, as ARCA Series teams will be making the journey south, to begin testing. From December 20-22, drivers from all areas will descend on the 2.5 mile track, to get their off-season training started. Most drivers will be using this testing as a measuring stick for their current team, or to make adjustments from last year. There will be new teams, looking for drivers. There will be established teams, testing new equipment. Of course, there will also be new, fresh talent looking to make a name for them, and potentially land a sponsor, or even a new team to race for.
This is the part of the story, where we get excited. It bring Championship PR&M great pleasure to announce tonight, OFFICIALLY, that one of our drivers will be making that trek south for the winter (ok, maybe only three days), to begin his ARCA Series testing for 2014!!! Josh Reeves will be driving for Carter 2 Motorsports these three days, testing new equipment, and also driving for the scouts of other teams.
We feel blessed to be a part of this talented and diligent young man’s life. We have been working side by side with Reeves for two and a half years now, perfecting the challenge of attracting potential Marketing Partners. He comes from a successful background in racing, and this opportunity is just the stepping stone needed to gain a 2014 Sponsor.
We would like to thank Josh for allowing us to work with him, and we wish him all the best of luck next month!! Unfortunately, with our schedule, we will not be making the trip down with him, but we will be there in our thoughts!!

PRESS RELEASE:
Things are looking up for Championship PR & Marketing, and we have a couple big things to announce!! As you know, we are in the business of helping stock car drivers, achieve their dreams of making it to the big stage in racing one day. We have taken on a few drivers already, and always looking to expand our stable.
Currently we have Josh Reeves and Chad Ricker, which Pete Todich works with, and both are very talented drivers, looking to make it into the ARCA Series, and ultimately break into the Sprint Cup Series. Both guys are hardworking and determined to show the Motorsports world that they can and will be a house hold name one day.
To help with reaching out to potential Marketing Partners, leads us to our first big announcement. We have added a new position at Championship PR & Marketing, Lead Marketing Representative, and that position has been handed to Katie Todich. Her new duties with CPR&M will be to make daily phone calls to potential companies, looking to break into the Wide World of Motorsports!! We are very excited about this news, and look forward to her bringing in more Partners for our drivers.
We have also added a new PR person, who brings experience (and a couple new drivers) with her, and that would be Kristina Chambers. She currently represents Dylan Cisney and Jake Waters. Both are dirt track drivers in the 410 and 305 Sprint Car series, respectively. We welcome all three to Championship PR & Marketing with open arms!!
Both of these new additions will be a HUGE help, to the success of Championship PR&M, and we look forward to expanding even more in the future. We thank all our fans for the support so far in our young stages of Marketing, and hope that these new changes bring on added success. We could not do what we do, without your support of us or our drivers.

Driver after driver, make it to the oval everyday. They dont all have the talent. They dont all have the smarts. They cant all drive. What some have, is a bank account bigger than the Federal Reserve.
Those with the true talent and skill, sit back and ask "What am I doing wrong?" Nothing. You are not doing anything wrong! You are doing things the right way. The hard way. You are busting your @$$ and working hard!
Those other guys will be gone when the money runs out. But you will be standing tall, and still driving because you fought for everything. You worked for it, and made it on your own.
In the end, that will make your success even sweeter!!
Hard Work = Success
Challenge = Gain
Stop at nothing, and you will earn everything!
